Welcome to the new website for The Big Pink.
From London, they are Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell and on stage, they number more. They’re releasing their new single, ‘Velvet’, on 4AD on Monday. It was self-produced by the band, mixed by Alan Moulder and will be available on 7” and download. Prior to this, they have only released one other 7”, the limited release of ‘Too Young To Love’ b/w ‘Crystal Visions’. We’ll leave the biography bit for now though.
In other news… The band are currently on tour in the UK for the first time and you can see the tour dates on the live section. They’re heading in to Europe to play Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels and Paris at the end of the month also.

I need to access this on mp3 in time for the Whitby Gothic Weekend (I leave on Wednesday morning…), because you guys are going to blow people away there. This is the best new thing I have heard in a long, long time. Makes me wish I still did music journalism instead of having moved to film, but I’ll put you in touch with friends who do, and will get you played on the local (Glasgow) club circuit, because I fucking love this.

Al. I missed you and the boys at Crawdaddy’s in Dublin, but caught the award ceremony and caught the sonic onslaught. I’m damned well impressed.The buzz here in the city was incredible afterwards…and I fuckin’ well missed it…I’m shattered! I hope this doesnt sound naff, but i saw My bloody valentine a long long long time ago…and havent been as ‘caught off guard’ as i was when I heard what ‘The Band’ has produced. I’m presuming the name is circa ‘Dylan days on the road?’. Im searchin, constantly searchin, for the new sound…. who’d a thought the lad that fixed me decks in me gaff 5 yrs ago would be part of given me a ‘religious moment’. Dee – lite!
